GETTING THERE:
Arrival by Air to Fraser Coast Aiport (Hervey Bay)
Kingfisher Bay Resort is easily accessible by flights to Hervey Bay Fraser Coast airport with Virgin Blue. QantasLink operates several services daily from Brisbane.
The Kingfisher Bay Resort bus will meet guests at the airport and transfer them to their chosen barge or ferry transfer.
Arrival by Car, Hervey Bay
From Brisbane, it's 4 hours north. Travel north on the Bruce Highway to Maryborough then follow the signs to Hervey Bay. Stay on the main road which becomes Boat Harbour Drive. Follow the signs to Urangan Boat Harbour.
There is secure parking at Urangan at Great Sandy Straits secure. To enquire about parking call: 07 4125 4554. Uncovered car parking is located on the left as you enter the Urangan boat Harbour public car park. It is oly a 100 metre walk to the Fast Cat marina.
If you are taking the ferry that departs River Heads there is a courtesy shuttle from the carpark to Riverheads (there is not a lot of parking at River heads and no secure area).
GETTING ACROSS TO FRASER ISLAND
The cost of the return boat transfer is included in your package.
There are 2 departure points from Hervey Bay to transfer to Fraser Island.
The ferry that departs River Heads can also transfer vehicles. Travel from the mainland is between 35 to 50 minutes (varies depending on the tide).

ITINERARY:
Day 1: Thursday [breakfast, dinner]
Arrive to the resort at your leisure. The check-in time is 2pm. If you arrive before this time and your hotel room is not ready early the resort will store your luggage until 2pm.
This afternoon at about 5:30pm we meet for pre-dinner welcome drinks poolside which includes a 2 hour drinks package of beer, wine and soft drinks. Drinks are followed with a poolside group barbeque including fish of the day, grilled chicken, lamb, bread, baked potatoes, salads, fruit platters, freshly brewed coffee and teas.
After dinner there's the main bar at the Maheno Lounge or the resort Night Club.
Day 2: Friday [breakfast, dinner]
Full buffet breakfast at your leisure 6:30am to 10am.
09:30am-12:15am: This morning, there's a guided canoe paddle. They are 3-man canoes so you can share the paddling effort with others! Spot raptors and stringrays on this gentle paddle as you explore the mangroves from a different perspective.
Later this afternoon, we'll take a beautiful sunset cruise of Hervey Bay before our seafood dinner feast at the resort's Maheno Restaurant.
Day 3: Saturday [breakfast, dinner]
Full buffet breakfast at your leisure 6:30am to 10am.
Today, we have an optional 4WD Beauty Spots Day out. The tour will depart the resort at 8:15am. Please pack a beach towel, sun protection including your hat, sunscreen and sunglasses. Don't forget your camera. Details of the tour are on the prices page.
Dinner at the Sand Bar; it's a fun pizza, pasta and salad night.
Day 4: Sunday [breakfast, dinner]
Full buffet breakfast at your leisure 6:30am to 10am.
This morning at 10:00am there's a group activity - a bit of a challenge!
Tonight, we'll enjoy a superb 3 course meal on the Dingo Deck for our final night.
Day 5: Monday [breakfast]
Full buffet breakfast at your leisure 6:30am to 10am
After your buffet breakfast please be sure to check out of your hotel room by 10am.
If your boat transfer is not until later in the day the resort will store your luggage until your departure time.
