SMALL GROUP TOURING
The maximum group size you could expect is 24 people, although it is more likely that you will be travelling with 14 to 20 people.
PRE-DEPARTURE CONTACT SERVICE
As a friendly gesture to everyone in our group, we offer a pre-departure contact service. With your permission, we share your first name, state and email (or other preferred contact method) with the rest of our guests prior to departure. It's a popular choice with many travellers especially as the majority of our guests are solo travellers. This service provides you with the opportunity to get in touch with others prior to departure and especially from your city of departure in Australia. This list is provided after bookings close, about six weeks prior to departure.
ROOM MATE MATCHING
For people travelling alone, you can be matched with someone of the same gender on the tour, so you don't have to pay the single room supplement. If we are unable to find you a match you will be offered a single room at an additional cost of $300.00 (a reduced fee of the cost of a single room)
Day 1: (D) Perth
Arrive to Perth/hotel. Check in at the hotel is from 2pm. The group will meet at the hotel and be transferred for pre dinner drinks and welcome dinner at Miss Maud's Restaurant
Day 2: (B) Perth
Following a leisurely breakfast we have the morning free. We board our local touring coach for an afternoon discovering the unique charm of Perth City. Our touring takes us to the historic port of Fremantle to take in some of the local sights before we join the 3.30pm Captain Cook Cruise along the Swan River to Perth. Afternoon tea and a full commentary are included as we cruise towards the city via the Point Walter Spit, the Royal Perth Yacht Club, the Swan Brewery, and Kings Park. On arrival at the Barrack Street Jetty at approximately 4.45pm our coach will meet us for the transfer back to the hotel. Dinner this evening is at own arrangement and expense. Day 3: (B) Perth to Busselton
We have a full and fun day ahead of us exploring the region south of Perth. Following breakfast we travel to the popular holiday town of Mandurah, located on the vast Peel Inlet for a Scenic Canal Cruise. We will listen to the Captain's commentary as we cruise through the magnificent calm inland waterways, view the new award winning Mandurah Ocean Marina and marvel at the world class canal waterways and the multi million dollar canal homes. If we are lucky we may even see some of the friendly local bottle nose dolphins who are regularly seen swimming here. After some free time for lunch (own expense) we head to Busselton for a walk along the Busselton Jetty - the longest wooden jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. The Jetty has been undergoing extensive renovations for the past year. We will visit the interpretative centre and there is also an opportunity to visit the Underwater Observatory (at own expense). After a great day we head to the Abbey Beach Resort for our overnight stay. (Breakfast at the hotel, Lunch and dinner at own arrangement and expense)

Day 4: (B) Busselton to Margaret River
A leisurely morning for personal sightseeing and lunch. Early afternoon we reboard the coach and head south along the scenic Caves Road into the Margaret River Wine region to Cape Lavender Estate. The enchanting combination of lavender and vineyard surrounded by natural bushland makes a welcome break from the traditional wineries of the region. We will enjoy the 75 acres of colour and fragrance as well as some wine-tasting during our visit. After a stop at Prevelly Beach, to see where the Margaret River reaches the ocean, we head to Mammoth Cave. The Mammoth Cave was first recorded in 1850, later explored in 1895 and opened in 1904. We enjoy a guided tour here followed by a stop at the Cave Works Interpretive Centre - an eco-complex designed to describe the region's fascinating limestone caves. After an interesting day we head into the township of Margaret River to check into the Australis Margaret River - our base for the next 2 nights. Day 5: (B,L) Margaret River Touring
We have some time to explore the township of Margaret River this morning before we head to Leeuwin Estate, one of the founding wineries of the Margaret River district. Leeuwin Estate releases its wines under three labels, the 'Art Series', 'Prelude Vineyards' and 'Siblings'. Whilst the wines in each portfolio follow different lives, they all share a place amongst the great wines of Australia, receiving much international acclaim and attention. We will enjoy a delicious lunch and some wine tasting during our visit. This afternoon we head to Sandalwood, one of Western Australia's oldest and largest privately owned wineries. During our visit we can sample and purchase Sandalford's complete range of Estate Reserve and Element wines, as well as the fortified Founders Reserve Liqueur Port and Sandalera. To finish our gourmet day we head to the Margaret River Chocolate Company and Margaret River Dairy for some delicious chocolate and cheese tastings before returning to our hotel. Day 6: (B,L,D) Margaret River to Pemberton
This morning we head south, through the Boranup Karri Forest to Cape Leeuwin, named after the Dutch ship Leeuwin which passed this point in 1622. This is the land's end of the South West and the junction of the Indian and Southern Oceans. The coastal views we will see on our guided tour of the lighthouse and surrounds are spectacular. After a light lunch in the café we drive to Pemberton, a town established in 1913 as a State saw mill. We stop at the famous giant (61 metre) Gloucester Tree - reputed to be the tallest tree-mounted fire lookout in the world. Standing at 61 meters tall, the Gloucester Tree is from the Karri family, which is the third tallest tree species in the world. It was pegged in 1946 so that people could climb it and use it as a watchtower for bushfires. Today it has become a very popular tourist attraction in the south west - and it's definitely not for the faint hearted. Our accommodation for the next two nights is at the Karri Valley Resort where we will enjoy dinner each night. (Breakfast at the hotel, light lunch at Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse and dinner at the hotel)

Day 7: (B,L,D) Pemberton Touring
We are in for a treat today! Following breakfast we visit the Wine and Truffle Co, one of the few truffières in the world where we can participate in the excitement of a guided ‘truffle hunt' . We will discover how to locate the rare and wondrous black truffle, which is often referred to as ‘black gold' or ‘black diamond'. Our tour concludes with lunch in the Truffle Café.This afternoon we take a short walk to view the Beedelup Falls from the suspension bridge before heading back to the hotel for some free time.(Breakfast at the hotel, lunch at Truffle Cafe and dinner at the hotel)

Day 8: (B) Pemberton to Perth
Today we head back to Perth travelling through Manjimup and Bridgetown to Bunbury where we have some free time for lunch. We arrive back in Perth mid afternoon for some last minute personal sightseeing and shopping. (Breakfast at the hotel, lunch & dinner at own arrangement and expense)

Day 9: (B) Perth
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Hotel check-out is 11am. Your travel plans for your home or onward journey are by your own arrangement.
