Why Trek the Himalaya with World Expeditions?
Trekking Experience
World Expeditions fully supported camping treks will enhance your interaction with the local guides and crew who will give you an inspiring insight into the local culture. The cultural immersion is lost on lodge or teahouse treks.
Leadership
In 1985, World Expeditions pioneered the training of local leaders on all of their treks. More than 20 years on, their local leaders attend their annual leadership training course that includes wilderness first aid and group dynamics.
Quality Equipment
The quality equipment is constantly checked and reviewed to ensure your comfort and safety. A 'trek pack' is provided, comprising a kit bag, sleeping bag, inner sheet, down or fibre-filled jacket and an insulated mat.
Varied and Interesting Meals
They constantly receive feedback from returning trekkers praising the culinary standards during the trek. During the trek, three substantial meals are provided daily with sound hygiene standards and using local and fresh produce where possible. You can expect a variety of local dishes as well as Western cuisine each evening.
Porter Welfare
As a founding supporter of the International Porter Protection Group (IPPG) they are fully committed to improving the working conditions for the porters.
