ITINERARY:

DAY 1: Homeport - Christchurch (SD) - Monday 19 April 2010
Fly from your homeport to Christchurch where you will be met by a Grand Pacific Toursrepresentative and transferred to your hotel. Meet your Tour Escort and travelling companions for a pre-dinner drink and welcome dinner.

Hotel Copthorne Hotel Durham Street (2 nights)

DAY 2: Christchurch Sightseeing (B,D)
This morning enjoy a city tour of Christchurch. This afternoon is free and we have included a pass on the Christchurch Tramway which is the best way to view all the "Must See" sights.

DAY 3: Christchurch - Picton - Wellington (B,D)
Travel along the East Coast to the fishing village of Kaikoura. Continue to Picton, where you board the Interislander Ferry for your journey across Cook Strait to Wellington.

DAY 4: Wellington (B)
This morning enjoy an extensive city tour, highlight being a guided tour of Te Papa, New Zealand's National Museum. Enjoy free time to explore at leisure this afternoon. This evening is also free and you may choose to dine at one of the many fine restaurants.

DAY 5: : Wellington - Masterton (B,SD)
Depart Wellington and travel through the Rimutaka Mountain Range to Greytown. Continue to Richmond Garden, recently recognised as a 'Garden of International Significance'. At the hotel this evening a wine and cheese experience will be presented.

DAY 6: Masterton- Napier - Rotorua (B,D)
Travel to Napier, the 'Art Deco Capital of the World', for a tour of this city that was destroyed by an earthquake in 1931. Enjoy some free time to explore the fascinating architecture before travelling to Lake Taupo. Continue along the Thermal Explorer Highway to the geothermal wonderland of Rotorua.

DAY 7: Rotorua (B,SD)
Today begins with a Gondola ride to Skyrides Restaurant where a buffet breakfast and spectacular views are on offer. Travel to the Agrodome where you see performing sheep, a shearing display and sheep dog trial. Next visit Paradise Valley Springs, a superb wildlife park. Some free time is available before an afternoon transfer to see the boiling mud pools and the awesome Geysers that Rotorua is famous for.

This evening you will experience an entertaining Maori Hangi and Concert.

DAY 8: Rotorua - Auckland - Bay of Islands (B,D)
This morning depart Rotorua and travel north via Auckland to the Parry Kauri Park to see a magnificent example of a Kauri Tree. Continue to the beautiful Bay of Islands and enjoy a guided tour of the Waitangi Treaty Grounds.

DAY 9: Bay of Islands - Free Day (B,D)
Today choose from the range of many optional activities that are available. The choice is yours and your crew will be available to assist.

DAY 10: Bay of Islands Overnight Cruise (B,D)
After breakfast you are free to explore Paihia before boarding Ipipiri, the brand new luxurious catamaran for your overnight cruise. Cruise past spectacular landmarks before being anchored in a sheltered bay for a truly exclusive experience. Tenders will ferry you to nearby islands as you learn of the rich history and ecology associated with this region. At sunset enjoy a buffet of local cuisine before retiring to your King Stateroom that has sea views.

DAY 11: Bay of Islands - Auckland (B,SD)
Start the day with a leisurely breakfast before you cruise back to Opua Wharf mid-morning. Depart the Bay of Islands and travel to Matakohe to visit the Kauri Museum before continuing to Auckland for a city sights tour. This evening you will be treated to a special farewell dinner with your new friends.

DAY 12: Auckland - Homeport (B) - Friday 30 April 2010
Time to say goodbye. You will be transferred to the airport for your flight home after a memorable holiday.
