No rushing today, you're on holidays.
It’s market day in town. Bordered by Dickson Inlet and Wharf Street the location is picturesque with the mountain ranges and Coral Sea in the background. Established almost 20 years, Port Douglas Sunday Market provide locally made hand crafted goods of every description. Bally Hooley is the name given to the historic little steam train that passes through some attractive areas of mangrove, the Sheraton Country Club, and a couple of resorts to the Station at St. Crispins which is adjacent to the 12th tee of the Mirage Golf Course. Today, there's the offer to head to the markets on the Bally Hooley for a bit of fun with a pick up from our resort @ 10.25am. (you can head back the same way too)
At the end of the day, there’s a cruise along the beautiful Port Douglas waterways. The Lady Douglas ventures from the headland to deep within the mangrove lined inlet where your captain will explain the unique secrets of this most incredible ecosystem. Saltwater crocodiles, marine fish and an incredible array of bird life are among the creatures that lazily look on to the Lady Douglas as she cruises the famous Dixon’s Inlet. We will head out about 3:45pm for our sunset cruise followed by a two course dinner in town. (B, D)
